Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa

Arrive at Bole International Airport. Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a short city tour including the National Museum and Merkato market.
Overnight: Addis Ababa


Day 2: Addis Ababa – Arba Minch (Flight) – Dorze Village

Morning flight to Arba Minch. Drive to Dorze village to visit the Dorze people, famous for their towering bamboo houses and traditional weaving. Learn about enset (false banana) food preparation.
Overnight: Arba Minch


Day 3: Arba Minch – Nech Sar National Park – Lake Chamo

Morning boat trip on Lake Chamo to see hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife. Afternoon free time or local village visit.
Overnight: Arba Minch


Day 4: Arba Minch – Konso – Turmi

Drive south through beautiful landscapes to Konso. Visit the Konso villages and terraced farming systems (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Continue to Turmi, home of the Hamer tribe.
Overnight: Turmi


Day 5: Turmi – Hamer Village & Market

Visit a Hamer village and learn about their customs and lifestyle. Explore the lively Turmi market (if on market day). Optional visit to a bull-jumping ceremony if available.

Day 6: Turmi – Omorate – Dassanech Tribe

Excursion to Omorate, crossing the Omo River by local boat to visit the Dassanech tribe. Experience their riverside settlements and daily life.

Day 7: Turmi – Karo Tribe – Jinka

Drive to the Karo tribe, known for body painting and scarification traditions. Continue to Jinka, gateway to the Mursi territory.
Overnight: Jinka


Day 8: Jinka – Mursi Tribe – Jinka

Morning visit to Mago National Park to meet the Mursi tribe, famous for lip plates and traditional body art. Return to Jinka for relaxation.

Day 9: Jinka – Arba Minch – Addis Ababa (Flight)

Drive back to Arba Minch. Afternoon flight to Addis Ababa. Evening farewell dinner with traditional Ethiopian cuisine and cultural show.

Day 10: Departure

Transfer to Bole International Airport for your departure flight. End of tour.
