Itinerary
Day 1: Fly Addis Ababa – Lalibela
Morning flight to Lalibela. Upon arrival, begin guided visits to the famous 12th-century rock-hewn churches, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore Bet Medhane Alem, Bet Maryam, Bet Golgotha, and other sacred sites carved from solid rock.

Day 2: Lalibela – Morning Church Visit & Fly to Mekelle
Early morning optional visit to local church services for an authentic spiritual experience. Continue exploring remaining churches and panoramic viewpoints. Afternoon flight to Mekelle, gateway to the Danakil Depression. Tour briefing and preparation.
Overnight: Hotel in Mekelle
Day 3: Mekelle – Danakil Depression – Dallol
Drive into the Danakil Depression, descending to one of the lowest points in Africa. Visit the surreal hydrothermal fields of Dallol, with bubbling sulfur pools, salt formations, and colorful mineral terraces. Observe Afar salt caravans and traditional salt mining.
Overnight: Camping under the stars in the Danakil Desert
Day 4: Erta Ale Volcano
Morning drive deeper into the desert to Erta Ale Volcano, home to one of the world’s few permanent lava lakes. Evening hike to the crater rim to witness the glowing lava lake — a truly unforgettable sight.

Day 5: Danakil – Mekelle – Fly to Addis Ababa
